Expect perfect surf conditions, next-level chill, food so good you won’t even bother asking what it’s called, and wild detours like jeep safaris in Yala, waterfall hikes, train rides through tea mountains, and even a chance to meet whales at sea. FAQ
What’s the best time to visit Sri Lanka?
The island’s got two monsoon seasons, but generally, November to April is perfect for the south and west coasts, while May to September works best for the east. Either way, you’ll find your slice of sunshine somewhere!
Do I need a visa?
Yep, most visitors need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before arrival. It’s quick and easy to apply online — just make sure you sort it before you fly. It is not included in the package and costs around 60 USD
Is Sri Lanka safe for travelers?
Totally! Sri Lanka is known for its friendly locals and welcoming vibe. Just use common sense like anywhere else, and you’ll have an amazing, worry-free time.
What currency do they use?
Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR). ATMs are widely available, but it’s good to have some cash for small vendors and tips.
How’s the food?
Insane flavors! Think spicy curries, fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and street food that’ll make your taste buds dance. Don’t miss trying hopper pancakes and kottu roti
Do I need vaccines before traveling?
Standard travel vaccines like tetanus and hepatitis A are recommended. Check with your doctor for the latest advice.
What should I pack?
Light, breathable clothes, swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle. Also, a light rain jacket — tropical showers happen!
Is English widely spoken?
Yes! English is commonly used in tourist areas, so getting around and chatting with locals is pretty easy.
Can I drink tap water?
It’s best to stick to bottled or filtered water to avoid tummy troubles.
Who will I be sharing a room with?
We stay in shared houses or apartments — usually 2 people per room, and 2–4 people total per place. Girls stay with girls, guys with guys. We don’t mix unless it’s something you specifically ask for and we clear it with everyone involved. Got a friend you wanna share a room with? Just drop their name in the sign-up form and we’ll sort it out.
Can I get a private room?
Yep, solo rooms are totally an option! Just let us know in advance — there’s an extra charge, but we’ll hook you up with your own space if available.
Can I join the trip even if I don’t surf?
Absolutely! You’re more than welcome to come along just for the vibes, the community, and the adventure. If you’re not taking the surf lessons, we’ll simply exclude them from your package price. It’s all about enjoying the trip your own way!
